Hey Ryan,

I am a pastor who runs marathons, though not at your pace. I am looking forward to watching you run on Sunday. I would love to know who to contact about having you come to speak at our church. Your story and the running/spiritual lessons would be very impactful to our people and the running community of our city.

Everyone knows the Kenyan's surge and use team tactics. Why not practice that so you can run that way and not be zapped later in the race? There's something to be said for conserving energy in the rounds as well... Nice work either way, definitely taking something out of the experience that will help next season!

Bolt a de big man "KABOOM" Some people is too envious. Whatever Bolt did or do he deserve it 100%. Bolt is not doping or cheating. But he is the Fastest man on earth, de man eat good natural food, when some of us eating Berger-King. Instead of being so Jealous and too face of Bolt, Go back when he was around 16 years old and recall the talent he had (20.5). What to come next, if I was Bolt, my next move will be the 400m. People this is the judgment, The IAAF tested Bolt multiple of times, what more is to explain? “Bad-minded”

No offense Mark, but next time you are interview a vaulter trying doing some research into the vaulting of the athlete and their competitors, rather than just asking generic questions.

Awesome video. Mark, these athletes interviewing athletes are hilarious!! These difficult and tough questions are what bring out the true personalities of the athletes. Great.

For all of us amateur and armchair athletes back in States, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your heart-felt and honest reflection of your experience at the Olympics. I have no doubt that something wonderful will come out of your experience there.

Sam Murray, you should be ashamed of yourself. Please get facts on Bolt's career before posting something that reads like it should be written in GREEN...green for envy. As to the comment that he is from the same area as Ben Johnson.... I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and ask you to clarify that comment. Nobody could be as ignorant as to think that.... naaah... I'll wait for you to clarify.

Video - Belief
I have had the chance to meet KD. Watchin this video has people made open up their eyes when it comes to training and believe in them selfs. however, KD has always been the best 800 meter runner for the past ten years of running on the prof level. He never gave up on himself or his coach, plus has open his help to many athletes tryin to be where he is at in life. KD thanks for the interview....

When I saw you rolling down Memorial Drive, all alone in front of the pack, my hair stood on end. We rifled through our runner guides trying to figure out who you were, and when we figured it out, we cheered for you like the walls were coming down. While you might not have had the Olympics you wanted, you are an champion for anyone who watched the Trials and for anyone who likes a good race. You are a hell of a runner, and I can't wait to see you running through my fair streets in Boston, all alone, once again.

I apologise to anyone who misunderstood my meaning by my first post. I was just trying to explain to some the thought process that led me to run that ridiculous first two laps. I meant no excuse by it. I lost and the four who finished in front of me most definatly had better races and should be applauded for it. :) sorry for the confusion

Thank you for articulating so well why Michael is a douche bag. Deena is far from a disappointment. She is a force of nature and an inspiration to many, including myself.

I hope your ingorant criticism at least made you feel better about yourself. It certain serves no other purpose. I challenge you to put the donut down and trying to finish any race in double her time.

Michael,

Your ignorance is overflowing.
People get injured running, people collapse and die running. You think Ryan Shay didn't put in the proper training? We are not perfect. We break down.
Before you get critical, try training like these people do. They push their bodies to the limit. Elite athletes, as well as armchair quarterbacks like yourself, can injure your bodies at any given time without any indication.
Deena is one of the most meticulous and well prepared runners ever. She leaves no stone unturned in her training.
Magdelena is a fierce competitor. This was her dream. She trained so hard for this only to injure her knee on a bus in Beijing. FYI, if your knee is inflamed, and/or painful, it restricts movement. Running is an activity that requires movement of the knee.
I say, if you can beat them, then you have earned the right to criticize them. Until then, go work on your 23 minute 5K pr.
Why are there always jerks like this criticizing someone whose dream was crushed because their bodies gave out on them. Same thing happened with Paula Radcliffe in 04. People inherently need to be mean and judgemental to make up for their own jealousy and shortcomings.

how do you break a foot michael? don't be an ass ... anyone walking down the street any day of the week can do the same thing ... it's not a matter of training, right, wrong, or indifferent ... it happens ... period ... your comment makes it sound like you think she wimped out ... get a clue before you post
