MikieB, that is completely uncalled for. Not only is it racist, it is uninformed. I urge you to look at ANY Tyson Gay interview on the web (not just flotrack) to see a truly gracious, humble black athlete. Sure, the media love to focus on the chest-pounders and such, but there are plenty of them around. Further, Abdi is not a product of US-born african-americans. He is a product of Somalia. There are distinct cultural differences between the two.

The Black Cactus for the win! I love this guy. Of all the current 'stars' of American T&F, the guy I'd like to meet more than anyone is Abdi.
His video fromt he stands in Osaka screaming for the final of the 1500m is still the funniest video on flotrack.
