Pifer's wife I believe is Laura Ziegle. She use to run for CU. Also, woman have more girls than they do boys, that's a fact. Great for us guys, sucks for you chics.

Now I'm fixated on this topic. I know Paul Tergat has a son, Ingrid Kristiansen has a son (going old school there), I think Rod Dixon had a son and Alberto has a couple sons and he ran himself into the ground in his days. Also, quite a few of the Kimbia Kenyans have boys from what I remember.Didn't Zatopek have a son as well?
Ds posted July 23 at 11:27am.
isnt pifers wife also run?
Stork posted July 22 at 11:22pm.
Culpepper has had boys because he doesn't train hard.

If you are training hard and copulating, you get female offspring.
It's a fack.
BG posted July 22 at 4:42pm.
True that. I was just putting it out there. Culpepper has a couple boys and both he and his wife ran.
Scartycat posted July 21 at 10:27pm.
Their is no scientific evidence to back that up. I know plenty of runners and athletes that have boys. Don't scare me now!

Even Haile has said in his bio/autobiography "The Greatest" the reason he has all daughters is because he is always running. I think he has three kids, all girls.
Surpree posted July 21 at 7:00pm.
I can't believe they both have kids man. Crazy stuff.
Robrunstoo posted July 21 at 6:30pm.
Pifer had a boy and I'm sure he ran all year. What you get is what you get.

Having lived through that Colorado winter when everyone was snowed in - I can attest to the fact that most of the state (especially the front range and eastern portion) had a HUGE baby boom approximately 9 months later. I got one, too! A boy - possibly because I was not running at the time?!?!?! as per someone's mention below.

Buff girls, nothing better. Good job guys, congrats on the day, watch the future CU women, they will rock

Congrats on your races today. Billy 8:21 and Pifer 13:34, I think.

most distance runners have girls. just take a year off if you want to really have a boy.
Serge posted July 20 at 4:19pm.
How did they all get stuck with girls?

I'm sure it's hard to juggle school, baby, and running, but it's no different than most people who have full time jobs and kids. Not to mention, the mothers are probably with the kids more so.

JK is next in line for baby making....
Pchemisfun posted July 20 at 1:18pm.
Damn... they should get on making a guys team too. But I did not know that Billy Nelson was married... nor did I know he had a kid... but he had all that going on and "school" no matter how many classes he was taking that is not easy to juggle.
Horatio posted July 20 at 1:16pm.
"Mormon or something?" People who are responsible and have values come in all sizes, shapes, and yes, religions. Mormons or something????
Milerjoe posted July 20 at 12:09pm.
